TVET Career Fair at Kisumu

at Kisumu Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Park

TVET Career Fair

Ramogi Radio FM organized a career fair at Jaramogi Oginga Odinga grounds in Kisumu City that brought together various Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions and Universities from across Kenya. The main goal of the fair was to provide a platform for these institutions to market their courses to potential applicants through career guidance and counseling.

Siaya Institute of Technology attended the event and showcased her wide range of courses, including Artisan, Craft Certificate, and Diploma courses. The SIT representatives were on hand to provide information about the different courses, the admission process, and the benefits of studying at their institution.

The fair provided an opportunity for enthusiastic applicants to make applications for the May 2023 intake. The Siaya Institute of Technology representatives were overwhelmed by the number of applications received during the event, with many applicants expressing interest in the institution’s technical courses. The applicants were impressed by the institution’s state-of-the-art facilities, experienced lecturers, and the practical-based approach to learning.

The fair was not only a platform for institutions to market their courses but also an avenue for potential applicants to network and interact with industry professionals. The attendees had the opportunity to learn about the job market and the skills that are in demand in different industries. The fair provided a unique opportunity for attendees to learn from industry experts and ask questions about their fields of interest.

In conclusion, the career fair was a huge success, and it provided a platform for TVET institutions and Universities to showcase their courses and interact with potential applicants.

“We received an overwhelming interest from potential applicants. The event was a great opportunity for attendees to learn more about different careers, network with industry professionals and make informed decisions about their future.” observed Mr. Opany, The Deputy Registrar in charge of Admissions.
