5th Graduation Ceremony

On the bright and momentous morning of December 13th, 2024, Siaya Institute of Technology marked a significant milestone with its graduation ceremony themed “Skills Training for Sustainable Development.” The event was a testament to the institution’s commitment to equipping its students with practical skills essential for nation-building and sustainable growth.

The ceremony was graced by an esteemed guest, Dr. Esther Thaara Muoria (PhD), the Principal Secretary of the State Department for Technical Vocational Education and Training. Her presence added a touch of prestige to the event. In her inspiring speech, Dr. Muoria emphasized the critical role of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) in empowering the youth with employable skills. “Through TVET, our youth will gain the expertise needed to actively participate in nation-building,” she highlighted, reinforcing the importance of practical training in today’s world.

A significant highlight of the day was the commissioning of the new Building and Civil Engineering Complex. This state-of-the-art facility is set to provide students with modern resources and a conducive learning environment, further enhancing the institute’s capacity to deliver high-quality education and training.

The event was a lively and joyous occasion, attended by a diverse gathering that included the Institute’s Board of Governors, numerous dignitaries, guests, partners, parents, guardians, sponsors, faculty, staff, and of course, the proud friends and families of the graduands. Their collective presence underscored the strong support network surrounding the graduates, celebrating their hard work and dedication.

As the graduates walked across the stage to receive their certificates, the air was filled with cheers and applause, symbolizing the culmination of years of effort and determination. The ceremony not only marked the end of one journey but also the beginning of another, as these newly minted graduates step out into the world, equipped with skills that promise to make a tangible impact on sustainable development and nation-building. The day was a true celebration of achievement, hope, and the bright futures that lie ahead.
