Course Requirements

All new students are advised to acquire the following items based on the specific course they are taking before reporting at the Institute.

AGRICULTURE COURSE REQUIREMENTS

Compulsory requirements for all Agriculture Diploma, Certificate and Artisan Trainees.

  1. Overall or dust coat.
  2. Gumboots.
  3. Hand Gloves.

The following should be brought by Trainees taking the following courses;

  1. Certificate in General Agriculture – Jembe.
  2. Artisan in Agriculture – Panga, T-Square and Drawing Set.
  3. Diploma in Agriculture – Slasher or Watering Can.

 

 

CATERING & ACCOMMODATION, FOOD AND BEVERAGE COURSE REQUIREMENTS.

Requirements for Artisan/Craft Certificate Courses in Food and Beverage Module 2, Catering and Accommodation Module 1, Diploma Module 1 and 3.

  1. Black Skirt or Trouser.
  2. White long sleeved shirt/blouse (cotton).
  3. True blue bow tie (men) true blue scarf (ladies).
  4. Low heeled black leather shoes.
  5. Waiter’s cloths (non fluffy) – 6 pieces.
  6. White Damask table cloths (5 metres) – 2 Pieces
  7. White Damask Table napkins – 8 pieces.
  8. Glass cloths – 2 Pieces.
  9. White Apron (full length).

Service Accessories;

  1. A pen.
  2. An Order Pad triplicate.
  3. Wine Opener.

Requirements for Artisan/Craft Certificate Courses in Food and Beverage Module1, Catering and Accommodation Module 1, Diploma Module 1 and 2.

  1. A vegetable Knife. b) A butcher knife.

  5. A piping set.

BUILDING, CIVIL, LAND SURVEYING AND PLUMBING COURSE REQUIREMENTS.

  1. Dust coat/ Overall (except survey students).
  2. LAB Coat for Land Survey students only.

  4. Drawing Tools (Engineering Drawing set, Plastic T- Squares 1M and above, 30 degree/ 60 degree and 45 degree/ 45 degree Set Squares)
  5. Triangular Scale Rule ( 1:100, 1:200, 1:250, 1:300, 1:400, 1:500) except Land Survey students.
  6. Triangular Scale Rule (1:1000, 1:2500, 1:5000) for Land Survey students only.
  7. HB 4H, 3H, 2H Pencils (Sufficient).

  3. 30/ 60 degree Set square about 20 cm
