SIT is a TVET institution with the mandate to offer Certificate, Diploma and Higher Diploma programmes in Engineering, Business, Liberal Studies, Computing and Informatics and much more. We have a variety of courses cutting through all engineering disciplines such as Automotive, Electrical, Building and Civil Engineering as well as related subjects such as Architecture and Land Surveying. We also have other departments in the applied sciences such as agriculture and applied science with courses in Applied Biology and Science Laboratory Technology and intend to diversify and introduce new courses in pharmacy and medical laboratory Technology.
We strive to create a safe social and physical environment which helps all our trainees learn and succeed. I am pleased to report that our dedicated approach to training and learning is reaping real benefits for our trainees in terms of the number who get absorbed into the job market and those who start innovative and sustainable self employment ventures almost immediately after completing their courses.
With experienced and dedicated trainers and excellent infrastructure, our college helps trainees to realize their goals in life thus firmly cementing the realization of the Mission of Siaya Institute which is To produce competent Human Resource for sustainable development.
I encourage all trainees to take advantage of the opportunities provided by the college and involve themselves in all the extra curricular activities that are offered since the overall development of the mind and body is a sign of a healthy and complete development.
