STAFF TREE PLANTING.

The Deputy Principal in charge of Academics and Trainee Affairs (A.T.A) presided over a tree planting session where staff from various departments and sections planted over 500 tree seedlings.

The tree seedlings were donated by the Kenya Forest Service among other stakeholders based in Siaya Town and were handed over to the institute this week.

“The seedlings will be well nurtured and will go a long way to increase the tree coverage in the institute as well as promote a culture of environment conservancy among SIT staff”, she said..

The Deputy Principal A.T.A was flanked by various heads of departments and sections also noted that it was important to plant and nurture as many trees as possible to ensure green house gas emissions are absorbed, this can in turn reduce the damage caused by these gases influencing climate change.
